The Brazilian Biodiversity Fund (FUNBIO) is a national fund with nearly 30 years of experience working in Brazil’s six biomes: Amazon, Atlantic Forest, Caatinga, Pampa, Pantanal, and Cerrado. Its mission is to mobilize strategic resources for biodiversity conservation.
Since its founding, it has supported more than 700 projects and 500 protected natural areas, encompassing everything from ecological restoration and recovery processes to strengthening communities, Indigenous peoples, and the sociobioeconomy.
