The BRIDGE Project’s mentorship experience, “Tech-Driven Strategies: Strengthening Conservation Trust Funds for Private Sector Engagement,” aimed to empower Conservation Trust Funds (CTFs) to advance digital transformation and strengthen private-sector engagement.

Led by the Forever Costa Rica Association (FCR) with mentees from the Caribbean Biodiversity Fund (CBF) and El Salvador Environment Investment Fund (FIAES), the initiative addressed the need for modernized operations to tackle conservation and operational challenges. From May to December 2024, the program combined online training with on-site peer-learning visits, focusing on governance, grantmaking, financial workflows, and donor engagement through low-code CRM tools, highlighting cost-effective, adaptable solutions for CTF needs to position themselves as agile and reliable partners for private sector stakeholders.

Conservation Trust Funds (CTFs) are increasingly seeking partnerships with the private sector to address the growing challenges of conservation finance. Traditional funding sources alone can no longer sustain the financial needs of effective and sustainable conservation efforts.
Collaborating with private entities enables CTFs to diversify their funding streams, tap into innovative approaches, and leverage specialized expertise, amplifying the impact and scope of their initiatives.
