In this project, BRIDGE supported the design of a parametric insurance (PI) product to provide income protection for SSF during periods of extreme weather that prevent safe fishing activities and generate financial losses.

Supporting small-scale fishers is not just a matter of economic inclusion, it is a critical investment in natural resource management and reef conservation.
Building long-term trust is essential to enable the adoption of new and innovative mechanisms, a role for which GOAL was particularly well-suited.
