This case study presents the BRIDGE Project mentoring experience between FEDEC (Cameroon), BioGuinea Foundation (Guinea Bissau), and BACoMaB (Mauritania) aimed at enhancing private sector financing for Conservation Trust Funds (CTFs).

The objective was to help FEDEC and BioGuinea Foundation access innovative financing mechanisms, leveraging BACoMaB’s experience in private sector fundraising and its successful track record with conservation finance.

The mentoring experience highlighted the vast, untapped potential that CTFs represent as an existing financial “infrastructure” capable of unlocking significant impact capital from diverse sources.
This mentoring experience contributed not only to the development of targeted fundraising strategies but also to the broader understanding that CTFs, by embracing innovative financing solutions and nurturing a community spirit aligned with common values, can unlock sustainable funding and help accelerate the global transition to a regenerative and inclusive economy.
