The case study proposes a recalibration: moving beyond philanthropy-funded conservation—well-intentioned, yes; sufficient, almost never—toward a model in which the private sector participates because it recognizes a fundamental reality: nature is not a backdrop; it is economic infrastructure.

Put plainly: when a protected area functions well, private operations function well too.
Do not “ask for support”; build an investable proposition. Conservation begins to scale when it is no longer presented as a list of needs but as a structured portfolio: what will be financed, how much it costs, what results are expected, how those results will be verified, and who is accountable.
