In rural Cameroon, radio remains the most accessible and influential media source. Recognizing this potential, the Foundation for Environment and Development in Cameroon (FEDEC) launched a unique initiative in 2016: Radio Nkuli Makeli (“the drum that carries your voice”).

The Radio Nkuli Makeli provides a communication channel dedicated to conservation and sustainable development.
This community radio station has established itself as a powerful tool for raising environmental awareness and advocating for the rights of Indigenous peoples. Beyond conservation, Radio Nkuli Makeli strengthens social cohesiveness, disseminates practical knowledge, and gives a voice to often marginalized communities.
