The Peruvian Trust Fund for National Parks and Protected Areas (Profonanpe) is a private conservation trust fund based in Peru with over 20 years of experience in financially and technically supporting the country\u2019s Protected Area (PA) system and their buffer zone<\/strong>s.<\/p>

Throughout this time, Profonanpe has maintained a close working relationship with the Government of Peru through a direct collaboration, initially with the Natural Resources Institute (INRENA) under the Ministry of Agriculture, and currently with the National Service for Protected Areas, Servicio Nacional de \u00c1reas Naturales Protegidas por el Estado (SERNANP), housed within the Peruvian Ministry of the Environment and in charge of the management of the National PAs System, Sistema Nacional de \u00c1reas Naturales Protegidas (SINANPE). Since its inception, Profonanpe\u2019s role in conservation and PAs management has grown from providing sustainable operational financing to cover part of PAs\u2019 recurrent costs to advocating and promoting innovations to PAs management patterns in Peru.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n \n \n \n <\/svg>\n <\/div>\n\n Profonanpe is a Peruvian private, nonprofit institution created in 1992 and located in Lima, the capital city of\nPeru. Profonanpe\u2019s current institutional objective is to raise, manage and channel funding for the conservation of\nbiodiversity harbored in natural PAs and their buffer zones. Profonanpe accomplishes this objective, in part, by\nserving as the financial arm for SINANPE. <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
