Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa superficie (12 000 km2) et \u00e0 sa remarquable biodiversit\u00e9, il constitue l\u2019Aire Marine Prot\u00e9g\u00e9e la plus importante d\u2019Afrique occidentale.<\/strong><\/p><p>L'\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me du PNBA est exceptionnellement riche en nutriments gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une vaste \u00e9tendue de zones humides couvertes de bancs d'herbiers marins, un volume important de s\u00e9diments transport\u00e9s par le vent depuis le continent, et les effets des remont\u00e9es permanentes1 autour du Cap Blanc. S'\u00e9tendant le long de la c\u00f4te atlantique, ce parc est form\u00e9 de dunes de sable, de marais c\u00f4tiers, de petites \u00eeles et d'eaux c\u00f4ti\u00e8res peu profondes.
