Elle occupe la premi\u00e8re place en termes de nombre d\u2019esp\u00e8ces d\u2019oiseaux (1 889 esp\u00e8ces) et d\u2019amphibiens (763 esp\u00e8ces) et est \u00e9galement riche en mammif\u00e8res (479 esp\u00e8ces). Le pays abrite \u00e9galement environ 40 000 esp\u00e8ces de plantes, ce qui repr\u00e9sente 15% de la diversit\u00e9 mondiale. <\/strong><\/p><p>En raison de la d\u00e9forestation et de la transformation non durable des terres, la biodiversit\u00e9 en Colombie est perdue \u00e0 un rythme alarmant. Les principales causes de la d\u00e9forestation sont les changements d'affectation des terres pour l'agriculture, les projets d'infrastructure, les cultures illicites, la migration interne, l'exploitation mini\u00e8re, l'extraction l\u00e9gale et ill\u00e9gale de bois et les incendies de for\u00eat. L'expansion de l'\u00e9levage bovin est le principal moteur de la d\u00e9forestation et du changement d'affectation des terres.
