The Chiquitano Forest, in eastern Bolivia, is a tropical dry forest of immense ecological value, covering 23 million hectares. Its biological richness, fragility, and role as a corridor connecting the Amazon, the South American Chaco, and the Pantanal make it a unique natural heritage site.

The challenge of combating forest fires in Bolivia is enormous. Faced with this threat, fire prevention and control have become a priority for the Chiquitano Forest Conservation Foundation (FCBC). Thanks to the combined efforts and collaboration with governments, civil society organizations, and communities, we have been able to reduce risks and respond more quickly and effectively, protecting the forest and those who depend on it.
